The 77014 Temple of Doom LEGO set, based off the second Indiana Jones movie, has reportedly been cancelled. While we had heard about this a few weeks ago, we were unable to verify the news. However it appears now that other Indiana Jones sets are appearing in Smyths Toys and LEGO stores in Europe, the set is indeed cancelled. The other three sets we reported on at the beginning of the year have all released though. User ewblegoboy has uploaded images of those three sets (see below).

Looking at those images, the sets do look quite nice. There is a fresh take on the Indiana Jones minifigure, which has a new face and hat mold, and his whip and pistol are included in some sets.
Star Wars fans will notice that the Escape from the Lost Tomb set also includes a sticker featuring hieroglyphics of R2-D2 and C3PO, which are famously included as an Easter egg in the movie. There is also one that appears to be a Bionicle helmet in the top right corner of one of the stickers.
Disappointingly, we can see that LEGO has chosen to cut corners for the Raiders of the Lost Ark diorama set, opting to use a full page of stickers rather than printing them onto the tiles. Overall, it is nice to see that the theme has been revived, but cancelling one of the four sets as well as cutting corners on an expensive diorama is not a good look for LEGO.
