LEGO Announces Two New Ahsoka Sets & Buildable Chewbacca!

For fans of LEGO Star Wars, especially those looking forward to the start of the new Ahsoka series, I'm sure you'll be excited with the latest announcement from LEGO.

'...At San Diego Comic-Con, the LEGO Group announced three new additions to the LEGO® Star Wars™ building set range. Two sets were connected to the upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka – Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle, and New Republic E-Wing™ vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter™ – plus a brick-built display model of everyone’s favourite wookiee, Chewbacca™, was revealed.' - Lego.com

These sets are all available 1st September, 2023...

The one I'm most excited about is set 75362, Ahsoka Tano's T-6 Jedi Shuttle. The minifigures in this set are Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Professor Huyang and Marrok (click on the images below for larger detailed view - Images are from https://www.ign.com/articles/comic-con-2023-lego-reveals-new-star-wars-ahsoka-sets )

The Jedi Shuttle set will be US$79.99, with 599 pieces it is 24cm long & 24cm wide.

The other Ahsoka themed set will be the New Republic E-Wing vs Shin Hat's Starfighter (75364). This will be US$109.99, with 1,056 pieces and has 2 starships and 5 minifigures; Shin Hati, Baylan Skoll, Morgan Elspeth, Captain Porter, and a New Republic astromech droid.

Unlike the previously discussed 9+ sets, Chewbacca (75371) is aimed at the 18+ audience of AFOL and has 2,319 pieces. It will stand 46cm high and 18cm wide and have a cost of US$199.99! I'd seen the Chewbacca set shared on Facebook groups and there was mixed responses, with a handful wanting the set of this great character of Star Wars... but most commented thinking it was some sort of joke, or that it looked quite odd. Most agreed that is was overpriced, something that is becoming a common discussion amongst the new LEGO sets being released. I would be waiting to see this Chewbacca set displayed in store before making a purchase (though I believe I'll be saving my money for either Ahsoka's shuttle or the Ghost).
