LEGO fan website PromoBricks is currently in the spotlight after dropping a blog post on their website, announcing 4 new Star Wars sets supposedly coming later this year. Fans in the community are torn over whether the rumors are legitimate or if this is part of an April Fool's stunt.
But what are the sets in question? We'll break down all four in this article:
75354 Republic Gunship
75357 The Ghost
75359 Republic Swamp Speeder
75367 UCS Venator Star Destroyer
Yes, you read that list correctly. 3 Clone Wars era sets and The Ghost (based on the upcoming Ahsoka series). Remember - while PromoBricks is a very reputable source and has a great track record, take these rumors with a grain of salt. Keep scrolling through as we break down all four set rumors and details.
LEGO 75354 Star Wars: Republic Gunship
If this set is real, this will be an amazing product for prequel-era fans! This minifigure-scale Republic Gunship is said to contain 1083 pieces, 5 minifigures and will retail for about $245 AUD. The minifigures rumored to be in the set are Chancellor Palpatine in his red robes and a skirt, Padmé Amidala, Clone Commander Fox and two Coruscant shock troopers. Supposedly, it will release on the 1st of September.

LEGO 75357 Star Wars: The Ghost
Fans of the Rebels animated TV show will certainly be excited to hear that the Ghost is supposedly making a return in LEGO form. This version, however, will be based on how it looks in the upcoming Ahsoka spinoff series. It comes in at 1394 pieces, 5 minifigures and will retail for about $280 AUD. Minifigures include Hera Syndulla, Chopper, Jacen Syndulla, Quarrie and an unknown male character with dark skin. It is apparently releasing on the 1st of September.

LEGO 75359 Star Wars: Republic Swamp Speeder
This set will supposedly be quite small at 108 pieces. almost half of what the previous iteration of the LEGO Republic Swamp Speeder had back in 2010, and cost a whopping $45 AUD. For reference, the 2020 501st Battle Pack had 285 pieces... yikes!
Ignoring the cost, this set may be very desired by fans as it is said to include Captain Vaughn (pictured right, from Clone Wars Season 7) and supposedly 3 troopers from the 332nd battalion. The figures will contain the same helmet holes as the recently released 501st Specialist Pack from January.
While it could turn out to be a great set, it'll be quite pricey for what you actually get in the box. If the rumors are true, expect it to release on the 1st of August this year.
LEGO 75367 Star Wars: UCS Venator Star Destroyer
Grab some tissues, your wallets are probably going to be sobbing for weeks if this turns out to be true. PromoBricks announced a UCS Venator Star Destroyer would be coming on October 1st this year, filling the gaping hole in the hearts of prequel fans all over the world and instead creating a gaping hole in their bank accounts.
While said to be smaller than the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer we had recently, this one is said to have more pieces with 5374. There will be two minifigures - Clone Captain Rex with a bandage print on his head (showing where his inhibitor chip was surgically removed by Ahsoka) and Admiral Yularen. The set will retail for about $1060 AUD, but could easily be pushed up to $1100 to match the cost of the previous iteration of UCS Star Destroyer.

These rumors have fans saying their prayers, with many skeptical commenters taking to Instagram pages, LEGO Star Wars Leaks' Reddit and multiple YouTube channels cursing PromoBricks for making this announcement on April 1st. However, PromoBricks has not announced this as an April Fools prank, and have been insisting that it's real. At Brick News, we only have one response:
Keep an eye on our blog for further leaks, rumors and more.
Update: It's now April 2nd in Germany and PromoBricks is still insisting the rumors are legitimate and not pranks. With their reputation and track record, it would be unlikely for the above sets to not be coming. Time to get excited!
