TIE Interceptor vs. Fang Fighter Confirmation + Box Art

Writer: AdelasAdelas

And here it is! We've seen this rumour going around the mill lately, and now confirmation has arrived with youtuber FlipSnoop able to get this set early from a retailer stocking this set early.

The set has been discussed as the final Mandalorian Season 3 set, and with the previous Mandalorian sets being confirmed around 1-2 episodes after the appearance of the particular scene or ship displayed, it's a very early confirmation and even earlier purchase of the set for the YouTuber. We've yet to see a TIE Interceptor remade since 2006, so this will be a nice change of pace.

The set number 75348 consists of 957 parts, and is marketed at $99.99 USD, therefore its expected that we in Australia will receive this set sometime in May at around, hopefully, the $129.99 AUD price point. Containing the new molded Darksaber blade, as well as 4 minifigures (including 1 astromech), this price point may still dissuade buyers due to the high price per piece, with many generic minifigures including the Tie Fighter Pilot, Mandalorian and Mandalorian Fleet Commander.

This set will seem to pair well with the Mandalorian Starfighter (75316) we've seen before, and this set has now become quite a valuable one due to the unique and honestly incredible looking minifigures within. Looking back on the skyrocketing price of this set, this may be one for both hobbyists and investors to pick up.

We've yet to see this particular battle unfold within the confines of the show, but we're keen to see how it will play out. From a LEGO perspective, the TIE Interceptor appears to steal the show with a much more detailed and piece intensive model, whilst the Fang fighter seems to lacks the striking, unique look we've come to expect from transcriptions of these iconic crafts.

Overall, I'm excited to see how LEGO prices this set, and how available it will be in the Australian market, but two iconic ships in one set will surely excite many enthusiasts of the show and of LEGO.

Pricey but I love this TIE . Still have the original 1983 Kenner toy so this would go well with it..
