Hey everyone. We want to take the time to address both this month's competition and next month's, and provide as much information as possible to keep you up-to-date with what's going on. We'll be as transparent as possible and we're always grateful to hear your feedback.
As of the time of writing, Brick News now has 46 subcribers. Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up - subscribing is what will keep us going and allow us to continue hosting these competitions. Remember, when you subscribe please head straight over to the Monthly Competition page and open the form, it's important for you to submit this so that your entry is counted.
December 2022 Competition:
As many of you know, we're a brand new business that launched near the start of December. Since there aren't many similar businesses out there like ours, it was tricky for us to gauge whether or not we would reach the threshold bonuses we announced. As we're only a few days away from the end of the month, it has become clear that the current threshold bonuses are too high to be attainable. As a result, we have removed those from the Monthly Competition page.

The Threshold Bonuses for the December 2022 competition (pictured above).
Despite them being removed from the Monthly Competition page, they are still active. If we do somehow reach any of the above listed goals, there will be additional draws to determine the winners of the threshold bonuses. Going forward, we will try and make the threshold bonuses more realistic and tweak the requirements so that they will more likely be reached.
With that out of the way, let's discuss the draw! At 11:59pm VIC time on the 31st of December, entries will no longer be accepted and will be shut off. The draw will take place in the first week of January (most likely on the 2nd) and the winner will be contacted shortly before we announce their name on our website. Should the winner be willing to do an unboxing video or show off some photos of the prize package, we'll publish it to our website (and the winner will get an extra incentive to do so, of course).
January 2023 Competition:

The 75313 UCS AT-AT will be the January 2023 prize. The one pictured above is the exact one that will be shipped off to the lucky winner!
Also to take place in the first week of January will be the new competition launch. As many of you know, the January 2023 Monthly Competition grand prize is the 75313 LEGO Star Wars: UCS AT-AT! We will send out an announcement email when the page goes live on our website - if you're an existing subscriber, you'll be able to enter right away. As per the Terms and Conditions, you must still be subscribed at the end of the month for your entry to remain valid. For example: if you subscribed on the 15th December and cancel on the 12th of January you will not be able to enter the January competition. However, if you subscribed on the 15th of December, and your subscription automatically charges you again on the 15th of January, and you cancel after this date or not at all, your entry will be accepted.
The threshold bonuses for January will be LEGO TIE Bombers - we're planning to put them into the competition at 350 entrants and 500 entrants, a much more attainable goal compared to the December threshold bonuses.
February 2023 Competition:
Last of all, the February competition. We'll soon be launching a new group on our website, which will allow site members (whether they are subscribed or not) to vote on the February 2023 grand prize. If there are sets you would like to win that you think are worthy of being a grand prize, drop a comment below and we may add it to the list of options to pick from.
Thanks again for your support. We will certainly need it these first few months as we experiment and try new things, and we greatly appreciate any feedback you pass through to us. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and that you have a Happy New Year!
