Could This Be the Next LEGO Bad Batch Set? *SPOILER ALERT*

The Bad Batch opened to an entertaining start on Wednesday night in Australia. We were treated to some new locations as well as some previously explored ones, more clone trooper action and some iconic vehicles returning - including the gunship, albeit this time it's on the side of the Imperials.

While the UCS Republic Gunship is currently still available for purchase, fans have been yearning for a minifigure-scale gunship since the 75021 LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship was taken off the shelves in late 2014, about 8 years ago. With Clone Wars sets more popular than ever, and the iconic vehicle returning once again in The Bad Batch, it begs the question - will we see the gunship return in minifigure-scale in an upcoming LEGO set?

Already we have had two sets based off season 1 of The Bad Batch - the 75314 Bad Batch Attack Shuttle, and the 75323 Justifier. Based on this, we could expect another two sets for season two. With few other vehicles shown so far aside from a few speeder bikes and some destroyed droid tanks, it could be a possibility that LEGO would release a minifigure-scale gunship based on the second episode of The Bad Batch season 2.

Not only would a gunship based on the one in the Bad Batch finally bring back an iconic vehicle at a more affordable price than its UCS variant, but it would also give us a new colour scheme and potentially new characters. Captain Wilco, a newly introduced character in The Bad Batch, would make for a cool minifigure to tie into this set along with some regular clone troopers (and hopefully a proper clone pilot minifigure). Admiral Rampart, who also returned in episode 2 of The Bad Batch, could also be included in this set as another unique minifigure.

While we'll have to wait and see what happens, there are plenty of unconfirmed sets lined up for LEGO Star Wars this year and there is the possibility that we'll see this happen. Stay tuned, we'll let you know if we hear anything concrete.
