Coruscant Speeder Build Competition - Rules, Prizes & How To Enter

For those of you who have been requesting an easy build competition, you're in luck! Our September 2025 Build Competition requires you to build a minifigure-scale speeder you would likely come across on the planet Coruscant from the Star Wars universe. This means the vehicle must be relatively small and only capable of fitting up to a handful of minifigures.

Let's break down everything you need to know about this competition so that you have the best odds of winning!

Rules for the September 2025 Build Competition

Please ensure you follow ALL of the below rules to avoid disqualification. If you have any questions regarding your build's eligibility, please email info@bricknews.com.au with your questions and/or photos and we can advise if your build meets the rules & criteria.

  1. You can only submit ONE build into this competition. Multiple builds/entries are not permitted. For example, you cannot submit a custom speeder with a landing platform, as building the landing platform would give an unfair advantage.

  2. Non-LEGO parts and components are not permitted in your build unless they are approved third-party light kits. Popular lighting kit brands such as Light My Bricks are allowed. You cannot use components from LEGO competitors such as MegaBloks or knockoff brands.

  3. The speeder vehicle that you build must be minifigure-scale. This means the vehicle should only fit up to 6 minifigures, and be small enough that a person would reasonably believe it to be a standard speeder on Coruscant. Most speeders only fit 2-4 people.

  4. The speeder you build can be either a custom design, or a recreation of an existing speeder seen in Star Wars media.

  5. There is no piece limit to this competition, however speeder builds that are too large risk being disqualified.

  6. LEGO minifigures are permitted in your build.

  7. Plagiarism is not allowed. Your build must be your own work - if a design is predominantly copied from an official LEGO build, a Rebrickable build or is otherwise a build copied by another designer, your entry will be void and your Brick News account may be terminated.
