Star Wars fans, if you want to ensure you're not missing any details regarding LEGO's upcoming May 4th event, you've come to the right place. In this article, we'll cover all of the promotions that will be running during the event and the fine details you may have missed.
First, we want to let our Australian and New Zealand readers know that at this time, Bricks Megastore (who run the physical LEGO stores in these two countries) do not appear to be taking part in this event. As such, this guide will only apply to the official LEGO website.
We also want to clarify that prices listed below are in Australian dollars - if you're based outside of Australia, we recommend visiting LEGO.com to view the below offers in your currency.
Gifts with Purchase
This year you can get up to three gifts with your LEGO Star Wars purchases, depending on how much you spend. Note that sets in your cart that aren't from the Star Wars theme do not count towards this promotion. It's also worth noting that this event starts May 1st, NOT on May 4th - so if you wait too long you could miss out if LEGO runs out of stock. You can view these tiers below.
Tier 1 - Spend $65 - You will receive the 30654 X-Wing Starfighter polybag with your purchase.

Tier 2 - Spend $140 - You will receive the Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary coin collectible.

Tier 3 - Spend $240 - You will receive the 40591 Death Star II set.

To some people, the above items may not necessarily be worth the money spent on the sets, when other retailers will likely have discounts that could save you upwards of $40 per set. However, it's worth also noting that during the event window the majority of Star Wars sets will have double VIP points enabled, so if you're trying to rack up VIP points then this event could be beneficial for you.
Before You Buy
LEGO has announced that during the May 4th event, VIP-exclusive discounts will be made available. We strongly recommend that you check the VIP rewards centre at LEGO.com during the event in case a set you're after has a discount on it. According to LEGO's terms and conditions, the double VIP point bonus may not apply on sets that you've redeemed a discount for. If you need further support, you should contact LEGO's customer service team directly to ensure you don't misunderstand any of the promotion's terms and conditions.
